Roxana at 3 months old and behind her is Mill Mitica, her half-sister.

Both are rare Grulla PRE, genetically tested to be carrying a Dun gene

Above: These photos are a month later than those below, and what a difference there is - she is barely recognisable as the same filly !

So much larger and a beautiful deep chocolate colour with darker head, dorsal stripe and points. 

 

                             

 

Left: Roxana is just 3 weeks old and busy exploring her environment !  Right: Here she is 5 weeks old and has grown a lot. Already she is moulting her baby coat and showing a deep rich chocolate colour underneath. 

                 

          

 

Above - These three photos taken at 3 weeks old show off her beautiful face, and her lovely DUN gene markings.

Left- her Dorsal stripe is clearly defined, and the zig-zag zebra stripes down the back of her frontleg  are very noticeable.

 Roxana was born just after 4 weeks of heavy rain, and the grass was very wet and slippery for her first efforts in getting to her feet - but she made it in the end

with a bit of human assistance.  In the left photo it is 6am on the morning after her late evening arrival, she is just 9 hours old and a bit unsure of things.

The middle and right photos show her at 2 days old, confident and secure on her feet, and smotherd in amazing stripes. What a treasure !
